As you have all heard, the Virginia Rugby Union has gone to a league standings system (instead of an end of season playoff format) to determine advancement into the Mid-Atlantic Rugby Football Union (MARFU) playoffs.
The following is based upon information I have. As it becomes more complete, I will make changes.

2011 VRU Div II League Standings
The point differentials for the 5-1 teams are:
William & Mary +13
Mary Washington +4
Longwood University -17
* - Virginia Military Institute is currently unable to consistently field a full side. Therefore matches they play with borrowed players are considered forfeits.
For collegiate league matches, points will be awarded for each match played, as follows:
Four points will be awarded for a win
Two points will be awarded for a tie
One point will be awarded for a loss
For forfeited matches:
Four points will be awarded for a win
Zero points will be awarded to the forfeiting team.
A team will receive no more than 60 (+/-) differential points for a match win in the divisional standings; the 60-point differential will be determined from the losing team's final score.
Top 2 teams advance to the Mid-Atlantic playoffs - there is no longer an Ed & Sandy Lee Cup.

VRU Tie Breaking Procedure for Collegiate League Matches
Teams will advance into post season play based upon total match points awarded.
For teams having the same number of points, the VRU tiebreaker procedure (as outlined below) will be used.
In the event of tie(s), they will be settled in the following sequence until a winner is determined:
1. Head-to-head record among the tied teams.
2. Largest point differential (points for minus points against) between tied teams (e.g., teams with the same record).
3. Largest point differential (points for minus points against) in all divisional games.
4. Most points for.
5. Team among those tied which advanced the farthest in the most recent National Championships (regional and finals).
6. Team among those tied which advanced the farthest in the most recent MARFU Championships.
7. Team among those tied which advanced the farthest in the most recent LAU Championships.
8. Team drawn at random from among the tied teams (this procedure shall be performed by the Division’s Coordinator and witnessed by the President of the Virginia Rugby Union.
Note: For ties between three or more clubs, if two clubs remain tied after third or other clubs are eliminated during any step, tiebreaker reverts to step 1 of the process.
The VRU Executive Committee will settle all disputes
