Is the VRU team a mix of Div 1 and 2 or are they seperate?

VRU all star selections are made independent of D1 or D2. Selections are made based on individual ability, not what division their team is in.

REMINDER!!!!
If you plan to go to the U-23 tryouts on Nov 10, send the following info to Julie Comer at julescomer@yahoo.com
Name School Position(s) you play (primary and alternates) DOB Phone # email address
Send Julie the info even if you aren't positive you're going. It's better to give her the info now and tell her later if you decide not to go.
Julie and Nancy (the U-23 coaches) really want freshman to come out for three reasons: 1) It will be a great experience for you 2) The VRU will be fielding two teams and the second team is a good place for promising new players 3) MARFU is looking at putting a U-19 team together in the future and this will give you an edge toward making that team.

As a general recommendation: Do not skip All Stars because you are assuming you can merely "try out next year" as freshman. I did that. I have since not made it to a single try out due to a series of unfortunate events. I stress fractured my foot and was on crutches my sophmore year, last year they made tryouts the day after our formal, after I had already gotten a date to agree to come from out of state (the ex-boyfriend who's fathers Miata I later crashed, not the one who told me I was going to hell, FYI) and lets not even discuss this year. So! If you have any interest AT ALL please do me a favor and try out? It cant hurt to try, but it really hurts to keep missing it

Ladies, If you were planning on doing any individual work on Thursday, Nov 15, the field is closed because the men's soccer club is having a game. I assume this is a non-issue, I just was told to pass this info along. Kasie

These directions (from Yahoo) start at the main gate and end at a place where you can see Lambeth field. From there you're on your own to find a parking space. Note: Lambeth Ln is a narrow road that's easy to miss. It looks like it could be a driveway. It's the first right after the traffic signal at Grady Ave.

I'm driving, but since I'm helping with the coaching and selections, I'll be getting there a little early and staying for a couple of hours after the tryouts. I'll be leaving F'burg at 8am and expect to be back by about 7pm. If anyone wants to ride with me under those conditions, let me know. I'm willing to pay for company on the drive, so if you do ride with me, dinner is on me. Bill

Bill, I sent Ms Comer my information so that I could try out today at noon. Is that to late do you think? Or is it fine and I am good to just show up at try outs?

It's not too late to send Julie Comer your info if you decide to go to the tryouts. Earlier would have been better, but today is OK. Just do it as soon as you can so Comer has time to update her spreadsheets.

Dear Billiam and non-officer Molly, I don't really want to stay until 7, so Molly if you have room in your car that would rock. If not I stand by my previous ride begging -M
