The following is an email from Simon (our ref from the UVA Clinic). Way to stay classy Wash, keep it up!
After a day at work that was destroying my faith in human nature, I got home to find a very nice card from the team. What a very welcome surprise.
It was completely unnecessary, but very much appreciated.
I've known the Mary Washington Women's rugby team, in all its incarnations, since Fall 2002. Bill strong-armed me into helping out over drinks and food at Spankys downtown. Ever since I've known you, you have been a class act and a credit to the University and yourselves. Your attitude represents the best attributes of rugby.
There are very few teams I'd be prepared to give up my time for like that - you guys, and UVa, are at the top of the list. The card just goes to confirm why you're at the top!
Good luck this season, and don't hesitate to ask if you need anything.
Many thanks once again
Simon President, Referees' Society of Virginia
